Join us for a delicious house-cooked meal & connect with your neighbours weekly on Monday evenings. We are able to serve up to 70 people per meal. We strive to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary needs, but cannot always guarantee availability. Please bring your own clean takeout containers if you would like to take home leftovers. Best Babies serves pregnant and post-partum people with children ages 0-1 year. This program aims to support low-income families in the Fernwood community. The program runs on Tuesdays out of the Quadra Village Community Centre and on Wednesdays and Thursdays out of the Fernwood Community Centre. Sessions open with a shared meal and are followed by an educational topic and discussion led by staff and various community professionals such as public health nurses, dieticians, oral hygienists, and more. Participants are welcome to bring their infant’s siblings and/or a support person. Have clothes that need fixing? Bring them to Mending Night! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants can gain practical skills, make connections, and keep clothing out of the landfill. This program runs bi-weekly on Wednesday evenings. No registration required - maximum capacity of 20 participants.

Join our free, community-led yoga sessions open to all levels! Each week builds on the last as we explore foundational movements, postures, and breathwork. Bring a towel, a yoga strap or belt, and a sense of curiosity. *Participants should be able to move down to the floor and back up without assistance, as classes include both seated and standing poses.
