Fernwood Community Meal
Join us for a delicious house-cooked meal & connect with your neighbours weekly on Monday evenings. We are able to serve up to 70 people per meal. We strive to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary needs, but cannot always guarantee availability. Please bring your own clean takeout containers if you would like to take home leftovers. If you have any questions, please email communityprograms@fernwoodnrg.ca. Note on program pauses: Please note that the Fernwood Community Meal pauses during statutory holidays and centre closures. The program runs on Tuesdays out of the Quadra Village Community Centre and on Wednesdays and Thursdays out of the Fernwood Community Centre. Sessions open with a shared meal and are followed by an educational topic and discussion led by staff and various community professionals such as public health nurses, dieticians, oral hygienists, and more. Participants are welcome to bring their infant’s siblings and/or a support person. If you are a parent (or an expecting parent) who is interested in joining this program, please contact us at bestbabies@fernwoodnrg.ca or by phone/text at (250)-580-3579. Thank you to the Public Health Agency of Canada who provides funding for this program.
